Every seller wants a perfect e-store that will provide exceptional service and attract as many potential customers as possible. Designers try to package such seller requirements in the most attractive form, beautiful and practical. In doing so, they often exceed the usual limits of the capabilities of the tools we use to create websites. Ultimately, the developer's job is to translate the resulting design into real web pages, to overcome and expand the limitations of the tools, and to achieve the required functionalities.
The KoningDrone website sells high-quality drones and equipment to customers who are technologically savvy. It is natural that they have high expectations from the website they buy from – both aesthetic and functional, expectations in terms of the practicality of using the site.
The design I received was supposed to be implemented on the good old WooCommerce – but its basic capabilities do not fulfill all that was required. Fortunately, Elementor provides solid options for upgrades via custom fields and taxonomies, as well as for integrating all of this with WooCommerce. In this case, I used these features extensively when creating the site.
For now, some of the functionalities that were planned in the design and realized by my implementation – have not been fully utilized on the live site. The site is still young, entering a large amount of data is a serious job, and using each of the functionalities in the display is exactly that – entering a huge amount of data into the database. However, the possibilities exist and it is to be believed that they will be fully utilized over time.
